The Fairtrade program has helped our farmers create a better living and supported their thriving communities to grow, here are some of the additional impacts so far:
EQUIPMENT & FACILITIES
Our project has so far funded a new chilli drying facility & an education centre for our famers. The Fairtrade premium our collectives receive, also includes a fund to help provide new farming equipment.
SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIPS
The children of every farmer in our collectives receives a scholarship to ensure they carry out their full primary and secondary education.
COLLECTIVE SEED BUYING
Organising a collective seed buying program with our farming communities has enabled them to purchase the highest quality seeds at better prices, this in turn ensures the quality of the crops and further contributes to a sustainable living for our farmers.
